READING WORKSHOP IN KINDERGARTEN 

This video was really interesting. I really enjoyed watching Ms. Coufal teaching ELA to the kindergarten class, and I liked how she mentioned the ENL student's and how she embraced them, and worked with them so well. As I was watching the video I saw that the kids when doing their phonics, and word recognition  did tapping motions, and in the kindergarten class that I'm observing the teacher taught the students to tap out the words. I think this is a great method because it seems to me that the student's really understand this method. Also what caught my eye was Ms. Coufal conferring and taking notes with each student individually. She really knows how to motivate each students, and she goes to each student individually and works with them. This is the way she assess the students, and while she's assessing them she motivates them, and encourages them, and she learns about their strengths and weaknesses. I also really likes the partner work, and in the video it seems like the students really work great together and motivate each other. What really stood out to me was Ms. Coufal realistic goals. In the video she said that she knows that some students wont meet their goals, and she works with their own strategies. I think it's awesome that she's realistic and acknowledges how each student is unique and learn at different levels.
